DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION
In late July, Life and Liberty Ministries teamed up with Operation Rescue West for five days of Outreach at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.
The News media tried to convince the public that the Convention was the big news in Boston, but the people on the street were talking about our Truth Trucks.
Three trucks with photos of children murdered by abortionists drove through the streets all day and the Gospel was preached loudly through LLM’s sound system. For blocks people would stop, turn and stare as we approached and continued to hear our message until we were well past their location.

I was illegally ticketed by a Transit Authority Officer after he witnessed a man walk up to our vehicle and throw a lit cigarette through our open window and onto my son, Caleb’s, lap. The charge was, “Failure to yield to a Pedestrian in a crosswalk.” The officer knew that it was a bogus charge and even went so far as to acknowledge that he had seen the event take place. But in the end, he carried an attitude, a gun and a badge so we drove away with the ticket. Most of the police officer’s we encountered acted professional but those with an abortion loving heart tend to seek you out when you speak against their high places. We encountered many hard hearts but we trust that as the Word was preached and the evidence of America’s sin was displayed, many considered the error of their ways.
ARRESTED AND CHASED OUT OF CONNECTICUT
On Thursday, July 29, a Connecticut State Police officer pulled over LLM's Truth Truck as it was traveling through the state following a five day ministry effort in Boston.
At approximately 3:30PM, an angry officer pulled the truck over and asked for Dennis Green, the driver and Director of Life and Liberty Ministries, to come to the rear of the vehicle. The officer stated that the vehicle could not drive any further in the state until the pro-life messages were removed from the truck. Dennis Green informed him that the truck would remain as it was and proceeded to inform the officer with regard to his First Amendment rights.
The officer then began to fish for any reason to charge Mr. Green. He brought up the issue of seat belts and said that the occupants weren't wearing them when in fact they were. Another officer arrived on the scene and also began to verbally attack Mr. Green with regard to the messages and images on the vehicle.
When the driver was told that he was going to be charged with a crime, he immediately asked for a supervisor to be called to the scene. The officers refused repeatedly to yield to this request. At this point Dennis Green and one of the passengers, Michael Marcavage, called 911 to make a request for help. Mr. Marcavage began to film the incident from the opposite side of the guard rail and at the distance of approximately 25 feet.
The officers immediately began yelling for him to turn off the camera and reenter the vehicle. Mr. Marcavage slowing began to retreat toward the vehicle while asking if Mr. Green could do the same. He made this request because the officers were detaining Mr. Green behind the truck were he could not be seen.
The officers climbed over the rail and placed Mr. Marcavage under arrest charging him with two crimes including a felony charge.
After Mr. Marcavage was taken away, Mr. Green was ordered to get back into his vehicle and begin driving South bound until he was out of the state. He was instructed that he would be followed and he was not to stop or take any exits.
During the time that Mr. Marcavage was in police custody, he was repeatedly mocked and ridiculed for his Christian faith. Mr. Marcavage was called a Jesus Freak, a wing nut, brain washed, a scam artist, and many other derogatory terms.

PROPHETIC WITNESS AT DEMOCRATIC FUNDRAISERS
Over the last month LLM has been busy visiting Democratic fundraising dinners across Virginia. We have used the Truth Truck to show forth the sin of our nation and her leaders while calling upon them to repent.
Ezekiel 22:2 says, “Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? Yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.”
The Truth Truck visited fundraising dinners recently in Henrico, Manassas, Arlington and Richmond. Channel 8 news ran a lead story on the Truth Truck and followed us to one of our Demo picnic outings.
BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Race fans from across the nation converged in Bristol Tennessee last weekend for Race Week.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Sharpie 500, but the vehicle that was the talk of the weekend was LLM's Truth Truck as it ran laps around the event for three days.

The truth was clearly seen by thousands. In a nation that is thoroughly awash in sin, the Truth Truck is a tool that snaps people back to reality. The murder of children is an abominable practice and we are a people in great need of repentance.
A Christian radio station from Bristol called us into the studio to record two radio shows on Friday. We had the freedom to speak out on behalf of the murdered preborn and call upon the Body to stand up for righteousness and truth. It was refreshing to meet with Barry Brickey, the radio show host, and his station manager. Rather than shying away from such an important topic, they sought us out to broadcast our message on the "Voice of Missions" Show.
OUTREACH AT VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
On Wednesday, Sept. 1, LLM visited VCU with the Gospel and the truth about abortion. We set up at a busy crosswalk in the Commons, displayed our graphic signs, distributed much literature and shared the Gospel with many students. It was a great outreach and we will definitely be going back.
