"Concerning a world without walls"
March 24, 2006
I have something to share with you that has been burned into my own heart.
Would we live differently if we lived in a world without walls? Let me be a little more specific. If those places of child sacrifice (often referred to as abortion clinics) operated out in the open, in clear view, would we respond to them differently? If we had to hear the whirl of the suction machine and see the clinic workers reassemble the baby parts to insure that they were all removed, would we still lightheartedly walk by as if all was well?
I believe I may offend someone at this point, but that’s OK because I once heard of a man known as a Rock of Offence, and it seems that He made it His occupation to step on toes.
At a meeting I once heard it said that we must not be so hard on those Pastors who are not actively opposing abortion (child sacrifice), and until we have walked in their shoes we will not understand the pressures they face from those who are not Pro-Life in their congregations.
First, let it be said that if the fear of offending keeps a Pastor from actively opposing the murder of children in His own community, then the Pastoral shoes are just too big for his feet. Those of us who are actively involved in ministry need to count the cost before we go a step further.
If we are not willing to lay down our lives and to speak truth regardless of the flack we’ll receive, then it is clear that we see obedience as being optional.
True Pastoral ministry is leadership by example. Our standard is clearly laid out in the Scriptures and denominational or congregational acceptance should not be equated with Biblical obedience.
Secondly, let it also be said that an advocate of child sacrifice, sodomy, witchcraft or any other deed that brings Yahweh's judgment, has no business being comfortable in a congregational meeting! If the trend has been set where the Sons of Satan set the agenda for the message, then it's time to cleanse the temple!
A question you must answer is this. "Would you truly respond differently to child sacrifice in a world without walls where the act of abortion was openly visible?" If your answer is yes, then I say SHAME! The blood flows no less red and the hamburger that once was a beautiful child has no less stench in the city dump just because the slaughter takes place behind brick and closed windows.
I have heard people say that they couldn't intercede on behalf of the preborn at the abortion mills because "they just didn't know what they would do if they saw people going in to have their baby killed". This is often said in the context of "righteous anger".
I have serious doubts that the fear of acting rashly has ever stopped a person from saving a life. In our own eyes we stand as heroes of the faith and defenders of pure religion. I wonder how our Heavenly Father sees us as we calmly allow scores of innocent children to be murdered daily without any resistance.
But then again, we can't miss the 700 Club and we haven't been blessed with a VCR to record it during the hours the killing takes place. We must have our priorities in order, right?
Now for those of you out there that spend your time thinking that the job of being salt and light is just for the Pastors, forget it. It just ain't so. You also have the obligation to stand up and lead the way when you see the need. Your Pastor can't do it all, and as a matter of fact, the command to reach out to a dying world is for all of us whether or not you are in "full-time ministry"
My motivation for writing this tract is to call the Body of Messiah to repentance for its comfort-motivated stance of inactivity toward child sacrifice. I have no doubt that the Father is grieved following each and every "Sanctity Of Human Life Sunday", when the plight of the preborn is so eloquently preached and the only response is all too often only a check in the offering plate to appease the conscience for another year. The blood flows redder still and the body count climbs higher.
I for one want to see the slaughter ended and the goal of Life and Liberty Ministries is to see just that. There is a hole in the wall that only a repentant people can fill and that is on the streets where the killing takes place. We need your help to see ever more babies saved and their mothers’ lives changed!
We are a people that should hunger for truth and stand for justice for the oppressed. We know of the brutality being inflicted upon countless children in our own community. I shudder at the thought, but I don't know that we would act any differently if we lived in a world without walls.
May Yahweh have mercy on us all.
Grieving for the children,
Dennis E. Green
