Fire Update Follow-up 7/18/08

This message is a follow-up on the urgent notice that was sent on July 17. The first notice reported on the fire that destroyed our 3-room ministry office, including books, literature, computers and other equipment. This follow-up is to report of a second fire that occurred the next day, which started as a result of the first. Wiring that was damaged during the first fire caused a second on the following morning. While the first fire only destroyed the 3-room basement office and its contents, the second fired destroyed the entire home, which the house in which we cared for my elderly mother. It was determined that the fire started because of an electrical problem.

At this point, the fire has not only displaced the ministry, but it has affected our entire family, including my elderly mother whom we care for and are now looking for temporary housing until the house is rebuilt. It is now a 100% loss of the ministry office and our house in which my along with all of its contents. Additionally, the second fire has left our unfinished house, which is located behind this property, without permanent running water and telephone service. Although we have difficult days ahead, we know that Yahweh is faithful. If you are able to help us through prayer and/or support, it would be much appreciated as we work toward rebuilding and reestablishing the ministry, and as we make arrangements on how to proceed in the days ahead.

I want to thank all of those who have already contacted us, prayed, and who have contributed or helped us during this difficult time; you are a great blessing to me, my family and this ministry.
