Dear Brother's and Sister's, Ukrop's is now admitting that they gave a gift certificate to help with a fund raising event held by Planned Parenthood. They didn't admit to this until numerous letters, e-mails and phone calls made them address the issue. Some are saying that it was only a small gift so we shouldn't write to Ukrop's. Here is my position on this matter. Planned Parenthood not only pays it's bills from the gifts of big sponsors. It also has hundreds of small one time gifts coming to it. Most of the businesses that contribute toward the fund raising dinner, give once a year or just one time, period. Without the many gifts from such businesses as these, PP would be greatly hindered in their efforts. Ukrop's is now confessing that they gave an abortion business a $25.00 gift certificate. Should we say, "It was only a gift certificate, no big deal". Absolutely not! That gift was specifically given to a "fund raising effort" to raise funds for baby killing. No gift is small in this light. Ukrop's would not be scrambling to cover themselves if the effort to expose their folly was useless. They will be careful when dealing with baby killers in the future. They now see that the Christian community will not stand by and let "gifts" be given to abortion clinics without raising it's voice. This is how we stop businesses like Ukrop's from fraternizing with the enemy. When they hear of loyal customers rethinking where they'll shop, the "little gifts" of $25.00 will begin to appear to be a bad decision. I believe this is just the type of business that should be written to and called by concerned people. Zero tolerance needs to be shown toward those who aid and abet baby killers. At this point Ukrop's is still saying that they will not guarantee that gifts will not be given in the future. Keep writing those letters. Dennis Green |
